Queen Beatrix visits the East West ForumThe nucleus of the land art project, which was the result of the East West Forum Symposium, was a cluster of huge basalt stones.  Queen Beatrix and her Adjudant General, Miss Prinsen, inspect the land art project the illusion of civilization in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.The Japanese sculptors constructed the basalt stone nucleus of the illusion of civilization with the help of a crane. For a short period they were able to use a bulldozer - but most of the final shaping of the earthen concentric waves emanating from the nucleus was done by hand. |
