The nucleus of the land art project, which was the result of the East West Forum Symposium, was a cluster of huge basalt stones.

The Japanese sculptors constructed the basalt stone nucleus of the illusion of civilization with the help of a crane. For a short period they were able to use a bulldozer - but most of the final shaping of the earthen concentric waves emanating from the nucleus was done by hand.
