CITIES - sculptures and land art
Ludwigshafen Wilhelm-Hack-Museum
In 1987 the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum in Ludwigshafen am Rhein organized its exhibition Mathematik in der Kunst der letzten dreißig Jahre. Dietmar Guderian was the curator. The complete title of this comprehensive exhibition was Von der magischen Zahl über das endlose Band zum Computerprogram - Mathematik in der Kunst der letzten dreißig Jahre.
A selection was made of international artists who make abstract geometric-, concrete- and constructivist art. Lucien den Arend executed a steel version of his monumental Marconi Waltz - homage to van Doesburg and Oud on the Rotterdam Marconiplein.
