SCULPTOR AT WORK

working in Henry Moore's summer sculpture studio at Henraux S.P.A. stone yards in Querceta, Italy
Working on a piece of Bianco Carrara marble at Henraux studios in Querceta, Italy.

When meeting Henry Moore for a second time in Forte Dei Marmi in Italy, he introduced me to Mr. Cidonio of Henraux S.P.A. stone yards in Querceta, Italy. Henry Moore worked in one of their sculptor's studios during his summer stays in Forte Dei Marmi. In 1974 I went to work there on a Grant which I had received in the previous year from the Arie Scheffer Foundation in Dordrecht, Holland.

I was free to find any piece of stone which I could lift, Mr. Cidonio said.

Henry Moore wrote the name of the Henraux contact person on my calling card
