Koos Stehouwer

My uncle, oom Koos Stehouwer painted my grandfather, opa van de Ruit, in the thirties.

Koos Stehouwer - opa van de Ruit - oil painting on plywood - 27x44.5cm - thirties.

As a twelve year old I played with my cousins. Their father Oom (Uncle) Koos was an amateur painter. He had oil paints and painted just about anything. I wanted to be able to do that too and made some sketches in the polder around their house.
