ICO Publishers Japan, released in February 2008, a new publication titled "Great Public Art of The World - Integrating Art into The Environment" which focuses on 'Outstanding Public Art of the 20th - 21st century.

Twenty of den Arend's works are featured in the book: public sculptures in Amsterdam, Den Haag (The Hague), Barendrecht, Horstermeer / Hilversum, Lelystad, Zwijndrecht, Vaasa, Ridderkerk, Zaanstad / Koog aan de Zaan, Erfurt, Dirksland, Ede, Rotterdam, Spijkenisse, Kemijärvi, Velsen / Haarlem, Houten and Heerhugowaard.
